Start with how the ring will be worn, the shapes you like and the budget you want to work within. A few references can help explain your preferences; you do not need a finished design before speaking to us.
Understanding the four Cs
Carat describes weight; colour, clarity and cut describe other aspects of a diamond. Read them together rather than choosing by one grade. Two stones of the same weight can have different dimensions and appearance. The GIA guide below explains these terms.
Choosing a setting
Consider the height of the ring, how the stone is held and whether you plan to wear a wedding band beside it. Ask to see the setting from the side as well as from above. Tell us if your work or daily activities make a low setting more practical.
Choosing a metal and size
Compare the metal colours you enjoy wearing. Confirm the alloy and available finish for the design you choose. Have your finger measured rather than relying only on another ring, especially when comparing different band widths.
Natural or lab-grown diamonds
We can discuss both options for your design. Compare specific stones and their accompanying reports, then agree on the metal, dimensions, ring size and final price. Save those details with your order confirmation. If you are unsure where to start, bring us a photo or describe what you like.
